I actually like the diversity of the area and the affordable (but appreciating) houses. You forgot the Mexican place next to Futons Futons Futons on Thompson ($3.15 for the best Sangria in Nashville) and Taco y Mercados Lopez at Elysian Fields where you can get crazy Mexican food for cheap. Istanbul is awesome and I love how they have CNN International on in there.
