So, after I heard that Hostess was doing the bankruptcy thing two months ago or so (my word, I've been eating Ding Dongs for TWO MONTHS?), I thought I'd do them a favor and buy some Ding Dongs.
I curse that delicious mistake.
Yesterday was hard. Corbet yelled a lot. His naps were too short. I didn't get much sleep the previous night. Turns out he has a cold. But anyway, here's how I coped:
Beautiful hockey-puck, foil-wrapped dessert.
Empty foil means full belly.
p.s. No. I know. These photos are A-MAZ-ING. I'm not a professional.

Chocolate chips! That is what I use. "argh,," I say to myself, "I NEED chocolate. I'll just open this bag of chocolate chips and have a few." then I eat them with almonds (healthy, right?) and on top of peanut butter on top of a cracker. And so it goes when I am overwhelmed or bored or what have you. Until one day, voila! I've eaten the entire bag of chocolate chips. And my husband wonders why I don't stock them in the pantry for unexpected cookie making. "because. I. Can't. Stop. Eating. Them."
So there. Maybe I should try ding dongs. Your photos made them look scrumptious. ;)
Yeah, it's amazing how easy it is to go to the cupboard when you get bored. I think I'm over the ding-dong phase. That's my life in a nutshell: phases. Right now it's the Costco brand trail mix packs. They're perfect. But there's a lot of calories in just one pack. I love how companies do that. Make one small package multiple servings. Someone should sue!!!!! Haha. JK.
Chocolate and peanut butter is a perfect combination. I commend you on your choice.
And I love it that your husband wonders why you don't keep chocolate chips around for unexpected cookie making. That's too hilarious.
Semi-sweet or milk? I'm a semi-sweet kind of girl. In so many different ways. :)
